ABOUT US
AIMS
The aims of The Victorian Button Collectors Club: -
- To encourage the collecting, preservation and appreciation of buttons (antique, vintage and modern), and the research into the history relating to their origins and uses; and
- To encourage members to exchange information, to show their collections, and to organise social activities that foster these aims; and
- To hold one or more annual displays to encourage the public to learn about the rich history and the multitude of designs and types of buttons used during the last three centuries.
MEETINGS
Club meetings are held at 8.00 pm on the second Tuesday of each month, except January, at the Burwood Heights Uniting Church, corner of Burwood Highway & Blackburn Road, Burwood East.
MEMBER BENEFITS

- Quarterly copy of the Australian Button Collector Journal which include stories from members, colour photographs of buttons, regular features and presentations from TVBCC monthly speakers. - Free entry to Annual TVBCC events, including the Buttonfest and biennial regional Buttonfest events (tba).
- Sell your buttons at Buttonfest, or in small quantities via auction at monthly meetings (fees apply in both cases).
- Borrow books from the TVBCC Library, a collection of books and journals that includes back issues of National Button Bulletin (US) and Australian Button Collector (VIC) Journal, button guides, identification manuals and other button-related books (many out of print and hard to obtain).
- TVBCC Member list; a comprehensive contact list of other Club members, helping you keep in touch with button collectors across Australia.
- TVBCC Button Club membership badge (if requested)
- Voting rights at TVBCC Annual General Meeting.
FEES / SUBSCRIPTIONS
Annual subscriptions are due on the 1st of July each year.
Subscription rates for 2025 / 26 are: - Adult $60; Junior (under 18) $20; Family $65; Overseas $80 (Paper Journal); Digital Journal Only $50. More information and bank details are contained in the Membership Application Form (click the link below).
